Today’s seniors are far more tech-savvy than seniors from two decades ago. These days more and more of this demographic own cell phones, and they frequently require the services of a cell phone repair business.
Contrary to popular belief, seniors aren’t breaking their cell phones due to lack of technical knowledge. There’s really very little they can do to destroy their phones by exploring the many options available to them. The repairs they need are most often due to dropping their phones in some rather precarious places. In addition, they often allow their grandchildren or great-grandchildren to play with their cell phones, and that results in them being dropped, run over with ride-on toys or laden with food and other debris in places that shouldn’t come into contact with such substances.
In nursing homes where patients have cell phones, the devices have been rescued from trash bins after winding up on lunch trays. They’ve been scooped from toilets and salvaged from swimsuits in water exercise classes. They’ve been pulverized when run over by electric scooters.
With the exception of those cell phones that fell prey to electric scooters, most of these situations can be remedied by a reputable cell phone repair business. Sadly, if these seniors take their broken phones to the provider where they bought their phone and signed their contract, they’ll be encouraged to replace the phone instead, likely being told there is no chance of repair. As the old saying goes, “they’ll see them coming from a mile away.”
Encourage those seniors you know to seek out a reputable cell phone repair business before getting sucked into buying a brand new cell phone. They’ll pay far less money to have their phone fixed, and they’ll be back chatting with their loved ones and taking photos of their grandkids in no time.
